Traders who want to switch between brokers in TradersPost without permanently deleting their original connection currently have limited options. While you cannot pause a broker connection to free up a slot in your plan, you can disable a strategy subscription to stop trades from executing while keeping the broker linked.
For users with multiple broker slots in their plan, switching between brokers is straightforward—simply subscribe a different broker to a strategy and re-enable the original broker when needed. However, for traders on a basic plan with only one broker connection, adding a second broker would require upgrading their plan.
There has been discussion about adding a pause feature that would allow traders to disable a broker without it counting against their plan limits. However, this feature is not currently available, and TradersPost may evaluate its feasibility in the future.
At this time, TradersPost does not allow pausing a broker connection to switch between multiple brokers on lower-tier plans. The best alternative is to disable a strategy subscription to prevent trades from executing while keeping the broker connection intact. Traders needing access to multiple brokers simultaneously must upgrade to a plan that supports additional connections.
