Currently, TradersPost does not allow users to cancel a single limit order when multiple orders are placed for the same ticker. The system manages orders based on the ticker name, meaning that any cancel action applies to all orders associated with that ticker.
The only way to cancel an individual order is to do so directly through the broker. TradersPost does not currently provide order IDs for individual cancellation, but this may be considered for future API improvements.
For traders using TradingView and Pine Script, one possible workaround is:
1. Store all order IDs in Pine Script.
2. Cancel all orders for the ticker through TradersPost.
3. Resubmit only the orders that should remain active.
While this approach requires extra coding, it can help manage multiple limit orders more effectively within the current system.
TradersPost is exploring ways to return individual order IDs, which would allow users to cancel specific limit orders. However, because the platform currently operates with one-way communication between trading signals and TradersPost, there is no immediate way to retrieve or manage order details dynamically.
At this time, canceling one limit order while keeping others active is not directly possible in TradersPost. The best option is to cancel all orders and resubmit only the ones that should remain open. Future updates may introduce better order management features, including order ID tracking for more precise cancellations.
